Bishop Isaac D. Wilkes Sr. was born to the late Reverend Andrew Wilkes and Mrs. Cassie L. Wilkes. He was educated in the public schools of Georgia . He moved to Orlando Fl in 1963, where he raised his family. Pastor Wilkes was licensed to preach in 1988 while a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where Reverend Jessie Ivey is the pastor He later joined Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, where the Reverend Dr. Larry G. Mills is the Pastor. Pastor Wilkes studied under Dr Mills for seven years. In 1995 Pastor Wilkes was called to lead the flock at First Missionary Baptist Church of Groveland, Fl. The church has grown under God’s leadership with Pastor Wilkes. Because of his dedication to God and the church Pastor Wilkes moved his family to Lake County in 2007.

Minister Margie H. Wilkes, who is the Co-pastor. Pastor and Minister Wilkes are parents to nine. (Two deceased).He is also a grandfather. Pastor Wilkes is a master carpenter by trade. His hobby is working with wood and doing things with his hands. He also enjoys all kinds of sports. He has a zest for God and a heart for the church. Pastor Wilkes goals are to worship God in spirit and in truth, to evangelize the lost, to teach, baptize and to make disciples for the kingdom of God . His greatest desire is that God is pleased with his works.
